The main component of Lawry’s steakhouse Chicago dinner plate is the roasted prime rib of beef. You only need three ingredients to make the beef: standing rib roast, seasoned salt and rock salt. The secret of cooking the beef is to spread rock salt on the roasting pan and then put a rack over it. Place a seasoned beef on top of the rack and then cook the beef until its internal temperature is exactly 140 degree Fahrenheit (for medium rare).

There are three traditional side dishes served with the beef. The first one is the spinning bowl salad. The components in the salad are: green mix (romaine, spinach and iceberg), cherry tomatoes, julienned beets, hard-boiled eggs, and croutons.
