The Bainbridge Island 4th of July is a United States Independence Day celebration held annually on Bainbridge Island, Washington. The festival has been going on since 1967 and features a variety of events that take place over several days in downtown Winslow and Waterfront Park.

Many Activities on Bainbridge Island 4th of July That You Need To Know!

Here are some of the activities of Bainbridge Island’s grand old 4th of July in 2023 that you just need to know:

1.     BHS Football Boosters Pancake Breakfast

Pancake breakfast is one of the events served at the Grand Old Fourth celebration on Bainbridge Island. The breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Town & Country Market parking lot. This event is a fundraiser for the Bainbridge Island Boys & Girls Club.

2.     Family Fun Run

The Bainbridge Youth Services family fun run starts at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and is open to anyone. The run consists of three types of races: a 1-mile run, a 5K run, and a 1-mile fun walk. The race is held at Winslow Green and is part of the fundraising efforts for Bainbridge Youth Services.

3.     Street Fair

Like a typical fair, the Street fair features over 100 vendors selling arts and crafts items, food, and information. The street fair takes place in Town & Country Market, Bjune & Brien Streets, and Waterfront Park parking lots, usually from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is sponsored by Sage/Far Bank Enterprises.

4.     Kids Zone

The Kids Zone is one of Bainbridge Island’s grand old 4th of July celebrations featuring special activities for kids, such as pony rides, mini golf, and bounce houses. There is also live music and entertainment to keep the kids entertained.

5.     Classic, Antique & Special Interest Car Show

This classic car show takes place in the parking lot behind Umpqua & Chase Banks, usually from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For those who love antique cars, you should check out this part of America’s birthday celebration. Thiern Collision, Green Light Garage, Island Center Auto, Rolling Bay Automotive.

6.     Beer, Wine, and Cider Garden

This beer garden is in the Brien area, across the street from the Senior Center. Starting from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., this event is for adults over 21 years old only. The event is sponsored by Bainbridge Brewing, Eleven Winery, and Sisters’ Cider House.

7.     Grand Old 4th Hometown Parade

The parade starts at Madison Avenue and Wyatt Way, then moves eastward on Winslow Way. The event is sponsored by First Fed. For those of you who want to watch the parade, you can start standing by from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

8.     Live Music Stage

To conclude the day, there is a live music event during two sessions, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. This live music event occurs at the Town & Country West Parking Lot Stage. This event is sponsored by Bainbridge Performing Arts.
